It's been a long time

Hi all,

It's been quite a while since Iv'e been on here. Iv'e been so busy and haven't had time to update or redesign any blogs that I have.

I need to get my act together and start crafting more and also tart up my blogs. I also need to play with the settings to get the look that I want. I'm not too good with computers so need time to sit and play with the backgrounds etc (hence there not being any fancy stuff on here yet).

Anyway, I thought I would just keep you informed that I am still here and still crafting away. Update you all very soon.

New Demonstrations

Hi all,

Unfortunately, like lots of other DoCrafts Designers, my demo at the Range in Exeter was cancelled on Saturday 9th Jan due to bad weather etc., but the good news is that it is re-arranged for 23rd January. The new products for the Jan/Feb loop are amazing and I can't wait to get my sample cards etc photographed and put onto the Designer Gallery section of the DoCrafts website.

I am also holding a Workshop in Jewellery making at Crafty Devils in Barnstaple on 16th January so if you fancy a new hobby or want to start learning about how to make you own jewellery then come come along and have a go. I look forward to seeing you at either the Creativity Demo at The Range on Saturday 23rd or at the Jewellery Workshop in Barnstaple on 16th.

DoCrafts website

I'm really pleased this week as Iv'e managed to get my creations onto the DoCrafts website in the jewelley section.



The necklace, bracelet and earrings were made using the Cousins jewellery range. I love the flower beads, pearls and the mixed sets are great for all those "fill in" bits that you need when making jewellery. I'm hoping to hold jewellery Workshops early next year so keep on the look out for them. Go to www.docrafts.com to see the latest creations.

Card Demo's finished for this year.

Wow, Iv'e now completed all my demo's for DoCrafts for this year. Nice to see all you ladies at Chaplins in Plymouth last week. I thought I would never get there with the awful weather that we had.
My car was virtually blown from lane to lane on the way down there. My arms ached by the time I arrived with trying to hold onto the car and keep steering straight. Hope you all survived the bad weather.

I need to get started thinking about Christmas now that my Demo's are complete. Time to make some Christmas Cards for friends and family.

Loving my Crafting

Hi everyone,

I'm off to do a DoCrafts Creativity Demonstration on 7th November at Buy and Save in Wellington and on 8th at Trago Mills in Newton Abbott.

I'm looking forward to seeing some old faces and new crafters on both days.
I will be wearing some Cousins jewellery so keep a look out for my jewellery creations as well as watching the Crafting. Iv'e been busy making lots of samples so you all have a variety of ideas and goodies to look at and different methods, techniques and ideas to take away and try at home.

Hope to see you there. On 14th I will be at Chaplins Store in Plymouth too.

Just one of my Paintings

This is a painting I did a long time ago. It now hangs on my dining room wall for it's sins. Most of my current work is either sold or painted for friends. I use a lot of my work too for teaching at my Workshops.

Some of my Creations

As I love to craft I thought I would show you some of my creations to date. Part of my role as Designer for Docrafts is to make Cards and jewellery and demonstrate how to use products. It's great being able to try out new products and experiment with different ideas.

This card was made using Pearlescent white cardstock. The hearts at the top of the page were drawn freehand then cut out using a craft knife. I then added some further hearts mounted one on top of the other in each cut out and one extra at the bottom of the card. Adhesive gems were added for decoration.

No two cards ever turn out the same.
