Imagination Crafts - March Inspiration Post Tutorial.

Imagination Crafts - Tutorial for you -

It's my turn to produce the "Imagination Crafts" mid-month tutorial this time round.   Iv'e used the lovely "Lillies " Decoupage stamp for this project as well as the gradient card.

This is the card Iv'e made for the March Inspiration post. Some of my future tutorials will be videos so watch this space for more to come.

March Inspiration Post - To start with I used some Imagination Crafts (gradient purple haze) card and Silver Sparkle Medium which I spread through the Lacy Swirl stencil.

Next I stamped the Decoupage Lillies stamp out 3 times with black waterproof ink onto white card.  I then spread some Diamond Sparkle Medium onto my glass mat and spread it with a brayer which I then rolled over 2 of the images to cover them in "Diamond Sparkle".  Once dry I cut out 2 sets of the "Sparkled" flowers  leaving one stamped image whole.   I then decoupaged one of the sparkled  flower images onto the whole image. (The second flower will be used for the bottom left side of the card)

Next I inked around the whole image with purple ink then placed the whole stamped image onto the centre of the stenciled cardstock.  I then cut out swirls where the corners came to on the stencil so that the stamped image just sat behind the bits I'd cut out. (See the photo below).

Next I matted and layered the whole thing onto my card, added ribbons and twisted the ribbon onto the sides to decorate. A final flower was added to the left corner to finish and adhesive gems (coloured with a purlpe permanent marker) added to the centre of each flower bring the whole piece together.

I'll be posting some videos onto my blog in the near future as well as some free Digi-Images for you. Til' next time - Happy crafting.

Video - How to create cloud effects on card or canvas

Hi again

As promised to all my Imagination Craft followers and as I keep getting asked how I create my backgounds when I paint clouds etc., on canvasses or cards, here is the video at last showing how easy it is.

Iv'e used Imagination Craft cardstock for this tutorial, but it is just as easy to paint your own background with Acrylic paint before you add the clouds. (Let the paint dry before adding your white clouds though to get the best effects).

Hope you like it.

Imagination Crafts "Lillies" Stamp

Hi again avid crafters

For my March post Iv'e made a small canvas and added the "Lillies"stamp from Imagination Crafts.

This stamp looks good either Decoupaged or on it's own. Iv'e used it on it's own here for this canvas and added colour using Mica powders. I cut out the actual lillies from the stamp isolating them from the background then added Mica powders mixed with water to colour the flowers. To finish I added some adhesive gems to the centre of each flower to add depth.  The canvas was painted with acrylic paints and then I used the Stencil "Garden Bench" and Sage Green and Ruby Gold  Sparkle Medium using the branches part only from the Stencil.

I hope you like it - it's my turn for a tutorial mid month so watch this space to see another creation made with the "Lillies" stamp
