Gelli-plate - such fun......

Gelli-plate fun -

Boy am I having fun playing with my new Gelli-plate. Playing with this new crafty gizmo has made such a difference to my crafting now. I can't stop creating new papers ready to use for my crafting. Take a look at some of the designs so far.... I can't wait to add the designs to canvasses, cards, scrapbook pages and more.

I keep looking at objects around the house wondering what they would look like stamped into the Gelli-plate.

I thoroughly recommend that you get one if you are a serious crafter or artist. Background papers to die for are achievable with just a few layers of paint and stamps.

You can even use kids stamps which, because they are thick foam and quite deep, they make wonderful impressions on your gelli-plate. Every time you create something there is a surprise in store. Look how these Butterflies turned out on this piece.. I just pressed a cardboard Butterfly into the paint and now they look like they are embossed.

I will be designing lots and lots of papers and putting them onto my blog in future posts for you to see. Off now to play again.... Back soon.

  6. Hi ladies. Thanks for your comments.
Dianne - I made the first image by spreading a thin layer of white paint over the Gelli-plate then with an old shaving brush (not mine I might add) stippled on the trees with more paint. The branches and grasses were just marked with the end of a paintbrush. I then printed off the picture onto black cardstock twice and I think the picture above was the second print. Hope that helps.
